Lucille Babel

Lucille is a senior scientist. She is responsible for the teaching laboratories in analytical chemistry and is teaching undergraduate courses in analytical chemistry. Her research is in inorganic chemistry, supramolecular assemblies and lanthanide chemistry.

Anna Bondar

Anna is a doctoral student from Russia. She is developing and understanding potentiometric probes and constant potential coulometry for improved sensitivity, especially in flow injection analysis systems.

Eva Caparros

Eva is a Masters student who is working as an assistant to deliver exercises in analytical chemistry to our bachelor students. Her research is on exploring electrochemically controlled standard addition methods.

Thomas Cherubini

Thomas is the Lab Technician of the Bakker Group. He makes sure that all the technical sides of our research and Analytical Chemistry teaching lab are running smoothly. He designs and realizes all kinds of prototypes for us.

Gabriel Chitolina Rodrigues

Gabriel is a doctoral student from Brazil. His research is on the design and realization of field deployable instrumentation.

Marie Farines

Marie is a doctoral student from Brazil. Her work concerns the development of calibration-free methodologies for chemical sensors used in clinical diagnostics.

Geetansh Gupta

Geetansh is a doctoral student who uses his synthetic skills to obtain improved membrane materials for electrochemical sensors.

Fatemeh Hatefi

Fatemeh is a masters student who is working on membrane sensing using magnetic force modulation.

Maïtya Ithurria

Maïtya is administrative assistant and Departmental secretary who assures the administrative and secretarial tasks of the group.

Guy Lecoultre

Guy is a mechanical engineer. He assists all members of the department with his expertise in designing and realizing instrumentation to assist their research efforts.

Andrea Nonis

Andrea is a doctoral student is using constant potential coulometry for high precision fluoride sensing. He also develops novel electrochemical biosensor principles.

Stefan Popadic

Stefan is a doctoral student with a pharmacy background. His research is focused on the development and application of bioanalytical sensors.

André Ramos

André is secretarial assistant and assumes the administrative and secretarial tasks of the research group.

Justine Rothen

Justine is a doctoral student who develops chemical microscopy principles by combining thin membrane electrochemistry principles with optical readout.

Yejin Son

Yejin is a doctoral student from Korea. She is working on the development and application of imaging techniques on the basis of selective ion transfer voltammetry.

Nikolai Tiuftiakov

Nikolai is a doctoral student who is interested in a range of sensing principles for the detection of ionic species and the design of novel materials for this purpose. His most recent project is to understand the chemical limits of ionic liquid reference electrodes.

Thanawath Tuntiwongmetee

Thanawath is a visiting doctoral student from the Prince of Songkla University. He works on electrodes modified by an electric sparking process.

Yupu Zhang

Yupu is a doctoral student who is working on materials aspects of electrochemical sensors, combining synthesis and characterization methods to achieve more robust sensing systems. She also uses thin layer voltammetry and other dynamic electrochemistry techniques in her work.
